They know they can’t keep everyone happy, and that’s okay. But so many of these employees have nothing better to do than toiling away at their day-to-day jobs. That being said, everyone knows that when there is no time for things like hobbies or parties, it’s only going to make sense to take a step back and take care of business before moving forward again. This is particularly when you have an organization as big and diverse as GoDaddy. With more than 200 offices around the world, it’s no wonder that the company has a strong culture of learning, collaboration and adaptability. In fact, the organization has a very positive work ethic where every employee is encouraged to reach out and learn from their teammates in order to grow together. Among other things, this makes learning from your mistakes a pleasure rather than a chore. When employees are given the opportunity to learn from their colleagues on how they can improve, it naturally leads them towards learning from past mistakes as well as new ones.
Everyone at GoDaddy has a story to tell, and the people who have the most impact on the business are those who have an impact on the people. That is why it’s so important for every employee to adopt a nature-friendly habit. Humans are social creatures, and if you’re not living with the proceeds of your passions, then that’s not the life for you. No one is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes. The key is to learn from your mistakes, become more productive and to be proud of what you’ve built. This includes taking a break from your normal tasks when you’re feeling particularly depleted, and going for a walk or some other activity that lets you get your heart rate up. Doing so will also re-energize your body, leaving you more fit and ready to get back to what you do best: working.
Adopt a nature-friendly habit##
A healthy way to start the day is with a walk around the block. It’s wonderful when your coworkers are also on their lunch break, and you can catch up with them at the nearby park. But if you’re not in the mood to socialize, or are just too busy, then a quick 15-30 minute walk around the neighborhood can do the trick. It’s also a great opportunity to pick up some fresh air and get your heart rate up. It’s not the most popular thing in the world, but when done three to five times a day, it can become a powerful source of health, mental clarity and inspiration.
Don’t stress about the numbers##
stress about the numbers? No matter what’s going on in your life, stress about what’s happening in the numbers. It doesn’t matter if you’re in your 20s or your 60s, if you’re focusing solely on the numbers then you’re going to find it very difficult to achieve your goals. You know this better than anyone, and yet you find yourself stressed about them. Why? Because people are. It’s the same reason you’re likely to experience low grades in school, or stay in debt your entire working lifetime: people are going to stress you out because they want to be there for you, and stress is a choice.
Get to know your team intimately##
It’s easy to get stuck in a rut when it comes to team expectations and who’s supposed to do what. That’s okay, though. These are things that your team will work on together, and you’re more likely to achieve success if each of them is brought up in the same tone. That way each of you will know you’re on the same page and you’re not being ridiculous or disobedient.
Take a break once in a while##
Sometimes you’re too anxious to get back to work, and so you take a quick lunch break before heading back to the office. Or you take a quick walk in the park nearby, or do something that lets you get your heart rate up. Whatever you do, don’t stress about it. You’re better than this, and if you need a break, then whatever you do, take it. You deserve it, and you deserve to be able to do this job for a living without having to stress about it.
In order to make the most of every waking moment, it’s important to have a plan. You may not know what time of the day suits you best, or what time of the day is best for certain tasks. What’s important is to know what time of the day works best for you, and to make sure that you’re following that plan. Depending on your circumstances, working from home can be a great way to make your day-to-day life easier. When you work from home, you are on your own schedule, and your work is just one part of it. With the right business plan, working from home can become your primary source of income – making it possible to focus on your wants and needs while providing plenty of income to support your family.
